Ghakkhar is famous for Ghalla Mandi and Daree Factory industries. There Was One Govt Girls High School Ghakkhar Next to DC School which has become College now. Beautiful memories (1976---1981). Mrs. N.Cheema was Head teacher,Very Kind and well discipline lady. Sir Ranjha Sahib was our Math teacher from Normal School, used to come in our school to teach Math to Science Students only . Sir Shabbir Ahmad Chaudary from Bhagat Garrh was an other Wonderful teacher from Normal School. Altaf Ahmad Cheema,very Highly Respected, The best teacher of my Brother Dr. Humayon Dar. Ghakkhar history is incomplete wothout Samina Siddiqee, The Daughter of Ghakkhar.
